South Tyneside S.C. - 2010 Spring Graded Meet

South Tyneside Swimming Club are hosting their Annual September Open Meet at Hebburn Swimming Pool on the weekend of 17th-18th April.

The gala is operated under ASA Law and Technical Rules - Level 3.

Pool Details

Pool length 25m
Separate swim down facility
6 Lanes
Competitor Lane Lines
Colorado Electronic Timing.

Entry times should be converted to 25m pool length.

Swimmersâ€™ full date of birth must be included on the entry form.

Entries will not be accepted from swimmers who have swum faster than the enclosed cut off times.

Heats will be seeded according to submitted entry times.

Entries which are not countersigned by an official from the swimmerâ€™s club will be returned.

South Tyneside SC will NOT be responsible for any unaccompanied swimmers on the poolside. The responsibility falls on the club entering the swimmer, who should appoint an individual to be on poolside i.e.an adult with a coachâ€™s pass

ALL EVENTS ARE HEAT DECLARED WINNER.

Submissions should be age as at 18th April 2010.

The closing date for entries is 26th March 2010

In each event, awards will be made to the fastest three swimmers in each Age Group (9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14/OVER).

Sixty Five Roses Swim - Derwentside ASC

All proceeds donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

Nutrition Presentation - Boldon School

Moira Hill from Newcastle Nutrition, Newcastle General Hospital has kindly agreed to give a 40-45min presentation on Nutrition at 7.00 pm on Tuesday 2nd February at Boldon School.

This will take place instead of A Squad's normal Land Training Session.

The presentation is for both A Squad members and their parents to attend with the presentation aimed at 10-14 year old competitive swimmers, swimming approximately 14 hrs per week.

Junior League 2010 - Finals - Felling Pool, Gateshead

The third of our 2010 Junior League fixtures will take place at the Neptune Centre, Middlesborough. Entry 11.45am for 12.20pm start.

The Team selected to compete at this gala will be displayed on the Club Noticeboard at Hebburn Swimming Pool.

On Saturday at Tesco, Simonside, the bag packing raised £770.47

Sunday's table top sale at the Charles Young Centre, South Shields raised £75.

Half Term Training Schedule Amendments

Tuesday 5.00pm - 6.30pm (Pool) 6.30pm - 7.30pm (Land Training)

February 3rd

We are asking all parents of the children going to Spain to donate some alcohol for a raffle/tombola to be held at Swimmer of the Month.

February 10th

Sponsored swim 6000m at Boldon to be held during A Squad's normal training session. Additional sponsor forms can be obtained from Karen Kirsop.

February 13th (9.00 am - 5.00 pm)

Bag packing at Tesco, Simonside. Club Kit must be worn to this event. All Top Squad swimmers to attend.

February 14th (11.00 am - 3.00 pm)

We have hired 3 tables at a cost of £5 per table at the Charles Young Centre's table top sale (Talbot Road). We are looking for people to staff tables on the day and looking for any donations of bric a brack, books, toys etc...

March 21st (10.00 am - 4.00 pm)

Bag packing at Morrisons Jarrow. Club Kit must be worn to this event.
