South Tyneside Swimming Club are hosting their Annual September Meet at Hebburn Swimming Pool on the weekend of 18th-19th September 2010.

This meet is licensed by ASANER Level 3.

Pool Details

Pool length 25m
Separate swim down facility
6 Lanes
Competitor Lane Lines
Colorado Electronic Timing.

Swimmers’ full date of birth must be included on the entry form.

An upper qualifying standard of National Qualifying times for each event is being used. Swimmers must not have swum faster than the upper qualifying times prior to this event. The 400 freestyle is an open event and is only open to the fastest 30 swimmers of each gender regardless of age.
Heats will be seeded according to submitted entry times.
Entries which are not countersigned by an official from the swimmer’s club will be returned.
South Tyneside SC will NOT be responsible for any unaccompanied swimmers on the poolside. The responsibility falls on the club entering the swimmer, who should appoint an individual to be on poolside i.e. an adult with a coach’s pass
ALL EVENTS ARE HEAT DECLARED WINNER.
Age as at 19 September 2010.

The closing date for entries is 3th September 2009

In each event, awards will be made to the fastest three swimmers in each Age Group (9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14/OVER).

Subject to confirmation, an Event Photography company will be present during the weekend. More details will be added when available.

Entry Details

ALL EVENTS ARE HEAT DECLARED WINNER.

Submissions should be age as at 18th April 2010.

In each event, awards will be made to the fastest three swimmers in each Age Group (9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14/OVER).

Entry times should be converted to 25m pool length.

Swimmers’ full date of birth must be included on the entry form.

Entries will not be accepted from swimmers who have swum faster than the enclosed cut off times.

Nutrition Presentation - Boldon School

Moira Hill from Newcastle Nutrition, Newcastle General Hospital has kindly agreed to give a 40-45min presentation on Nutrition at 7.00 pm on Tuesday 2nd February at Boldon School.

This will take place instead of A Squad's normal Land Training Session.

The presentation is for both A Squad members and their parents to attend with the presentation aimed at 10-14 year old competitive swimmers, swimming approximately 14 hrs per week.

Junior League 2010 - Neptune Centre, M'boro

The third of our 2010 Junior League fixtures will take place at the Neptune Centre, Middlesborough. Entry 11.45am for 12.20pm start.

The Team selected to compete at this gala will be displayed on the Club Noticeboard at Hebburn Swimming Pool.

The full squad will be displayed on the Club Noticeboard at Hebburn Swimming Pool.

The Junior League Team will travel to the event by coach.

Details are to be confirmed, but it is anticipated that there will be spare seats available for supporters to travel. Further details closer to the date.

The details of two National Championships have been added to the event pages.

Good Luck to Faye Pinder who is competing in 100m and 200m Butterfly events at the British Gas ASA National Youth Championships starting 3rd August in Sheffield.

The British Gas ASA National Championships starting 18th August will see Nichole Lough and Josef Craig competing at Sunderland. Best of luck to both of them.

Chris Cook Coaching Session & Presentation

On Tuesday 1st June, Chris Cook will be taking a coaching session at Boldon Pool from 5.30pm to 7.00pm. This training session is open to all members of A and B Squads. This is a closed session and no spectating will be possible.

After the pool session, Chris will give a presentation in the Gym between 7.00pm and 8.00pm. The presentation is open to all coaches and swimming staff within the club, all members of A and B Squads and their parents.
